Grief Is a Form of Learning
Grief is that moment, that wave that just overtakes you, isn't it? And awful, awful feeling. Grieving is the way that that feeling changes over time as we come to learn how to live in the world with the absence of our loved one. In the nerimaging scanner, we really are just capturing grief. We're really capturing a moment. There's less than a handful of studies that look at more than one time point in the same individual.
