The Importance of Perpetuals in Crypto
The ES is trading at something like $4,200 right now. If you just trade a one-lot on that amount of leverage and you're paying the 0.1% on your entry and exit, the leverage that you're being offered in the ES would be about $420. It made the types of strategies that I was doing impossible. The idea with a futures contract is basically you have a cash price or spot price and it trades at a different price.
