Is There a Trade-Off Between Performance and Scalability?

A lot of people who are working on the internet aren't really consciously making decisions about this, right? There's a particular task that they need to implement. And there's an easy way for them to do it,. And maybe there's a harder way for themto do it. It feels just kind of like, well, there's a lot of pressure to get things done. But I actually do think that there are ways in which this is not great. This is really the fault of us as engineers, we as engineers as individuals.
