Evolution Is Not a Game Plan

Evolution is not this like efficient force perfecting things into their most like quote unquote perfect forms. There can be random changes in the environment that leads to selective pressures and extinction events. Life we have here on Earth is a reflection of the selection pressure, which comes from the environment in which we live. In some sense, as much as science can, it tells us why we're here, at least what happened before we got here.
