The American system is inefficient. We saw this with Obama needing to get around the inefficiency of the separation of powers of Congress. The idea that we can use whatever means we need to, if it's in the name of democracy with a capital D,. That is a flawed way of thinking because the means are the end. It's not magically down the road going to result in Western style democracy.
