How Did You Break Into the Film Industry?

How did you break into even anything in the film world? Actually, I worked in the lab and then I did that one post super job because the company knew me from working in the lab. Then my brother-in-law had a friend that was a director who was doing a commercial for Little Johnny Jones with David Cassidy. And I was a PA on that, they asked if I would be a PA. So then I started doing it all nonunion, small jobs. The next thing I did was not a commercial,. And it was a little industrial. It's really embarrassing because because it was a lot of choreography.
