CHAPTER

The Error of Truth as Correctness

i call it the lust for firm foundations, absolute truths. And in fact, you describe the error of truth as correctness. I think this is actually huge, and is one of the plagues of our time. There is no formal correctness outside of axiomatic systems like mathematics and formal logic. i oppose to that, the idea of truth as unconcealing, and other as clearing away. Rather as a sculptor makes a statue, not by putting together an arm, a leg, a head and a torse, but by actually clearing away the stone that makes the thing stand out.
