How to Help Your Child Feel Heard
I wouldn't say you must take your medicine again, because that's implied in the fact that we're sitting there with the medicine and that we aren't going to give up on it. I think it would be better if she opens her mouth to protest that you let her protest and really help her feel heard. And then this most is, I feel like I'm torturing her by forcing her to swallow it. It's hard for her to swallowing it when she's crying. That's another reason I would not put anything in there, you know, when she's not knowing that this is going in now.
