There's a great darkness around us. It's one I've tried and tried to ignore, out of fear that I might consume me. But because I believe that the darkness will not overcome, I step into it. And there I find a community of living things that is beautiful, even in its brokenness,. loved by God and deserving of my own love. In the restoration, the wounds might even become beautiful. This building is an act of love. The love will require work, and the result may be hope.
