Is There a Relationship Between Wealth and Christianity?

Krosostom has a strict definition of greed. He does not outright condemn the rich, only the greedy. All spending by the rich that is not strictly necessary should be done for the poor. We should use our goods sparingly as belonging to others. The rich should not waste on prostitutes, drink, fancy food and expensive clothes. But if he is going to give himself up to luxury, and other profligacy, it doesn't help him at all. It even leads him down to the deep pit.
