Dogen's Enji and the Soto Zen School

Dogen's Enji was the 13th century founder of the Soto Zen School in which you practice and teach. I'd also like to ask about your teacher, Bernie Glassman, who once said to you, there are precepts without Buddhism, but no Buddhism without precepts. In that state of Zazen, then it's a non-dual state, then the precepts do manifest naturally. And I guess for me, that ceremony of receiving the precepts has come to be treated in this country as a right of conversion to Zen Buddhism. That's what its purpose is at all.
