The Russian Narrative and the War in Ukraine

There was some support going to Ukraine ahead of the invasion, but there was still this basic assumption that if Russia chose to invade. So would it be fair to say that by internalizing the Russian narrative, Western countries made it easier for Russia to take that fatal step? Yes, I certainly would agree with that. There was a lot of disagreement and outright clash between Russia and the West before the start of the war in terms of the possible international consequences of that. But there was one agreement as well, unspoken on the part of the West, thatUkraine would collapse within a couple of weeks maximum. And what was almost impossible to assess was the spirit, the fighting spirit.
