The Silence of Apollonius

The theme of silence as discourse is here given a very detailed narrative form. Apollonius' mastery of silence is also a form of wisdom. Secundus, the silent philosopher, whose exploits are recorded in an anonymous account dating probably from the latter half of the second century CE.
