The Concept of Vectorization in Text Learning

The idea of vectorization in the context of text learning is we have this string of text. We want to somehow turn it into a series of numbers so that we can send those numbers into a machine learning algorithm. And just to clarify, this is not necessarily just turning word into a number. It could be a set of numbers like you just said, which would create, let's say, a two dimensional vector or a three dimensional vector, or a 200 dimensional vector.
