By the time I took my masters, I was absolutely in love with the field. So there was this revolution happening at the time that was called behavior based AI or new AI. And so I wanted to work with this guy in Rod Brooks. But MIT did not give AI degrees. They gave like one AI class undergraduate and one AI class to graduate. It's a huge shift from Edinburgh, where it was like liberal arts,. If it's launched, you can see it's natural sciences, the sub-satellite philosophy; but to MIT everyone is an engineer.
