What Is the Law of Thermodynamics?

Energy intake refers to all calory containing items consumed in a given period of time. Healthy individuals, on average, absorb about 90 to 95 % of the energy contained within food. The rest is lost in theses and urine, mostly feces, sum some in the urine. Fecal losses vary anywhere between two to ten%. And this is dynamic, two to ten% of energy intie. If you're ating three thousand calories a day, you could be losing upwards of 200, close to 300 calories from your food due to fecal losses. Some people maintain the same amount absorption, and other people seem to lose more energy, get less efficient.
