What's Thunder on the Horizon?

We need to actually go out into the universe and see what it's doing. We have a mathematical tool for describing the strong force, but it doesn't work very well. And so if we want to understand these things, youe right, we have to look at them in action. I love this experiment because they're sort of like a scrappy bunch. They don't have a lot of money, so they like re purposed stuff from other experiments.
