There are political tensions at a moment between the two towns due to a very big disagreement about the future of barlanaso. Even within the european union, the borders do not disappear. The line doesn't matter to people on a day to day basis, but it matters politically, administratively, yes. But so far we have always been creative and flexible enough to find solution compromises.
