Synthetic Life
Some are simple fusions of the natural, like our wings example. More made one of having gills, or fins or so on. Additional limbs beyond four, like the centaur has two arms and fore legs would seem a touch different. And it is not hard to imagine folks going for four arms, or for for forearms springing from two upper arms and short ors. It is a touch grotesque, but we can recognize that as probably the sort of thing that folks only find grotesque during early exposure or on specific portrayal.
