Psychodalic drugs can be very, very dissociative. They are a powerful tool to study the brain basis of consciousness. The main thing we've found in a few studies is that the brain becomes just much more disorganized. People often describe these experiences as among the most meaningful of their lives. It's not a magic bullet by any means, but i think there's a lot of promise and potential there.
