Is There a Spiritual Life in Response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

In scripture we get an explicit description of what happened. We have the word of god saying that the holy spirit fell upon people, like it did at pentecost. And think you would agree that speaking in tongues is not necessary to show you've been regenerated? I don't think these people i know are merely a, you know, sort of the spirit's working n but they're not regenerated yet. That's why i defined regeneration as that initial being made alive to god,. The bad tree cannot produce good fruit. On matthew seven, i think jesus does actually command us to make judgments from spiritual fruit to spiritual tree.
