How I Become a Political Editor
Medi: I was never political editor. I got a job from Jason Cowley, who had just joined the magazine in 2009. He weirdly decided to hire me, and I had never written anything in my life. We come up with this weird title called Senior Editor Politics - which is something we borrowed from American magazines. It was an Americanism that we borrowed. And whenever I would do interviews, people would say, you're the senior editor. Medi: Fascinate period. An absolute riot.
