The Importance of Fear in Politics

The problem with Washington, these dinners taught us, was not that Democrats and Republicans will disagree. It's that we're so busy beating each other up on 75% that we will never agree on. If we would just focus on that 25%, the country would be much better off. We've got to go back to the days where we were animated by both, by both amygdala and by reasonableness.
