CHAPTER

Is There a Dual Aspect Theory?

One shouldn't expect the different vocabularies that one uses to talk about physical and mental things, a to be such taken that they can be translated into one another. I give mou an example. A physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match. They do different kinds of work for different purposes. But perhaps id worry. Did bishop berkeley, or did he, how did he address this? Andime how did he he address it?
