What Happened After the Khmer Rouge?
Cambodia was liberated by the Vietnamese communists. The Khmer Rouge and two other non-communist resistance groups wage war against the government in Phnom Penh. This allows the Khmer Rouge to rehabilitate themselves in jungle camps along the Thai border. So the double standards of Western policy toward Cambodia, particularly American policy toward Cambodia is something that is a frequent theme in Washington today.
