Is This Not My Will Be Done, but Thy Will Be Doen?

There's a great irony in what she was asking for. Jesus is using this idea of all the sins of humanity are now weighing down on him. And so he prays again, my father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, thy will be done. It's here in Gethsemane that the cross is turned from an instrument of execution to a sacrifice. This is the crux of the Christian life. Am I willing to do what God wills or am I going to insist on having it my way?
