What Is Your Allegiance?

If you are insulted, listen to this carefully. If it wasn't because of the name of Jesus on your lips we would be getting along just fine. So where is our allegiance? Christ or self-preservation? Love of the world or love of God? All I can do is bring out what's in the text. Peter in this moment of trial and travail and John along with him trusted in Jesus and preached him boldly. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
