The Phyllis Phonatic: A Character Design for the Phillies

The Phyllis Phonatic is a mascot for the Philadelphia Phillies. Bonnie Erickson was part of the original design team for The Muppet Show. She sold the costume and copyright to the character, which meant she got a hefty cut of the merchising sales proceeds. Now they needed someone to wear it.
