To become a christian means that you can be rejoined with everybody else is a christian and spend eternity with them. The gospel doesn't promise everything will be better to morrow, i'm talking about the hope that guarantees a better life beyond the grave. This hope is beautifully captured in the heidelberg catechism, written by early reformers in 15 63. I remember pastor john even in the hospital, saying, thetruth of jesus words,. Let the little children come to me, for to such as these belong the kingdom of heaven.
