The impact of this vehicle goes beyond hasana and burdo. A decade or so ago, the state government ran its own scheme where it recruited about one thousand people to drive women and labour t to hospital. It ran for almost five years before it collapsed. But buying the car and arranging the driviis only the first step. Cars need fuel and maintenance.
