Our medical system sucks at chronic disease. It's phenomenal for acute situations, on emergency medicine,. But if we look at the things that its actually killing us, heart disease, by far. And it's because our society has gotten radically even prior to the pandemic, we're now worse than we were going into it. We can have these superficial mitigation tactics, but at some point you've got to live less healthy and now we're dealing with the fall out from that.
