The Real Talk Discussion Strategy

The real talk discussion strategy or approach is much less sort of structured and, you know, formalized. What I did with my students was instead of giving them those lit circle rules and giving them the questions, we started using talking points. And that's what made the discussion so much deeper because they were coming up with the talking points. It wasn't me just giving them questions and saying, okay, this is what you're discussing.
