How to Learn Yiddish for a Native English Speaker
Yiddish is a Germanic language. So it's going to have a very similar grammar structure to English. Hebrew is a Semitic language with a much more complex grammar, like 10 times more complex. You have to learn a lot of Hebrew vocab that are long words into Yiddish. The dynasty you grew up with has what many people consider a very unusual relationship to Zionism.
