Is the Voiceover a Good Tool for the Analytical Process?

I want to ask what the voiceover because Lacan occupies this position of the other for Sarayama, but then the viewer gets not only access to Sarayama's process. I was wondering what your thinking was behind the use by giving the audience that kind of transcended point of view in that situation. Well, here again, I can give credit to and blame Betty Milan, who in the stage version, goodbye doctor had these soliloquies where the characters were turned. And you know, this is one of the places where film is so great with voiceover, which creates a voice which has, you know, is kind of just floating.
