Brutus and the Circus Maximus
The festival kicks off at the circus maximus. ordinary romans show up. They're living through this time of upheaval, of fear. Julius caesar slain, all these rivals competing for poweran the people an what's happening. And one of the ways you find out what's happening is to go to the theatre. The record doesn't tell us exactly what happened. Brutus knows people are looking for answers and he wants to tell them his story. But brutus is not in rome. Hes still holds up out of town. He went to naples to find some of the best actors that he could hire for his games.
