Living Standards Are Lower to Day for Average Families
In 19 hundred, most people had an outhouse, and they didn't even have indoor running water. People lived a much different life in 19 hundred. They had horses. If they had any transportation at all, they had a horse. And so you're talking about candlelight, horseback outhouses, pumps, no air conditioning, no appliances. You had to do your laundry by hand. But i think we would have a much higher standard of living if we had maintained the low level of taxation and regulation from 19 60 to 20 20 that we had from 19 hundred to 19 60.
