Do You Need to Do Destructive Upgrades?

Down is never safe anyway. And i think it gives you a false sense of security. So i think a better approach is to just never do destructive upgrades. If you have ten copies of your service running, and one of the un upgraded versions is still running and tries to read thitl column,. its going to start crashing and spitting out errors everywhere.
