The Importance of Knowing What You Know
I might be epistemically privileged, right, with respect to like what Southern Irish are likely to do politically over someone who spends their life up north and up boarding school. But there are areas where I'm very, you know, I have no idea what's going on. Like, if you want to know how best to go about prison reform, yeah, I've worked in prisons. I am not the person to ask. I know people who are much better positioned than me to speak to those questions. And so again, it's about like knowing what you know, knowing what you don't know, and like seeking out people you think might be better positioned.
