The US and the EU on the Balkans

The US has been always a more vocal supporter of the countries joining the EU or wanted them to move faster on the Balkans. It can always raise the issue of the Balkans higher on the agenda with the EU as something where the EU needs to move faster because the EU is actually the key actor and there just like in Ukraine's case we haven't seen substantial moves forward. But I do think definitely that the US would have this more convening power and even authority and credibility than the EU which both sides have serious grievances.
