Residual Neuromoscular Blockade and Critical Respiratory Events in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit

The study is called residual neuromoscular blockade and critical respiratory events in the post anesthesia care unit. In terms of cases, they defined a case as any patient who had a quote unquote critical respiratory event within the first 15 minutes of being in the PACU. Most of them were hypoxia or obstruction. So it's not a high rate, these are rare outcomes. They were able to match 42 with controls. Folks who had critical respiratory events had train of four ratios of 0.62 on average plus or minus 0.2. Compare that with the control, the matched controls, the train of four ratio on average were 0.98 plus orminus 0.07.
