Shining was the part that worked for me the least well, in terms of referencing a fan surface of mreference not acknowledged exactly. To me, to me, it was speelberg getting to indulge in his own fan service. It's like he made the rest of the movie, ye, fine. Cares about the shining,. This is the one that he was the most into. And i wish more of the movie had leaned into that than him shooting a thing that zacpen and erne kline were left to have free rein over over structuring.
