The Value Perspective

CHAPTER

How to Turn Biases to Your Advantage

James Dimon says that human nature is very hard to change. We are effectively cognitive miser's and aim to get away with being as stupid as we could possibly be because the brain is an enormously expensive organ to run. How do I build a business that can exploit long-term horizons when everybody is looking at the short term? He uses Howard Marks who has this dichotomy of two types of investors there are the I know investors and the I don't know investors. And for me value investing is kind like it's saying "I don't know the future but I need to work out how to have lots of different outcomes"
