The term consciousness is being misused by the general public, very specifically the UFO, UAP community. The first appearance of the conference was in Tucson in 1994. And at this first conference also people like Dave Chalmers and Roger Penrose were there. They were just talking about what could be done to understand consciousness in a better way.
