The Importance of Understanding an Intellectual

I was using a specific definition of the intellectual that was given by the sociologist Carl Manheim. It has been interesting to me to see how difficult it has been for some people to understand what I was trying to do. When you refer to someone as an intellectual you're not paying them a compliment. And when you don't put them into that particular box that you were insulting them in some way.
