Conservation Biology Is Not Mechanistic
We need an answer before we can fully understand the system. And they've identified that pattern using a scientific model, which is not necessarily mechanistic. So why couldn't scientists apply this to systems whereeed? We need to know an action, but we don't necessarily need to know a mechanism. I tend to take a pretty applied view of science in that, you know, i think it is a social and political and human pursuit, absolutely.
