The first time I tried to sell software, we created a new whole networking solution in Motorola. The feedback I got from the executives at the telecom was that it's a great technical solution,. They've said it very gently, but I was just telling them sort of what it did as opposed to how it's going to help them. And yeah, you can bring that understanding back into your technical organization or your own code makes it so much better.
