The Difference Between Naturalism and Realism in Night Shots

I like very dark scenes, but when it's dark across and you're straining and you see nothing, yon if you end up seeng something not inconsequential. I want to put the audience in a world that they believe, that appears like it behaves the way the real world does to their eyes. A moon does not glow by itself.
