The Good News of Happiness
Jesus' entry into human history is great news as it will bring about the happiness and joy of many people. Which is why the angel goes on to say it will cause great joy. This is referring back to a famous line from the prophet Isaiah which is in the ESV translated as quote, the good news of happiness. Is that how you think of the gospel as the good news or the glad tidings of happiness?
