The Demise of the Scriptural Geology Movement

The scriptural geologists were a really eclectic group of people and had a huge diverse range of views about these things. Over time, there was a tendency actually to put the flood higher and higher in the geological column. Once you'd kind of push the flood into just the diluvial layer, what happened is that the diluvium then began to be reinterpreted as the products of the ice age.
