"I think this movie actually felt like a kind of a beautiful metaphor to me or analogy of like addiction or temptation and how it makes us act outside of ourselves," says writer. "When we are in the thrall of an addiction or something along those lines is we don't act like ourselves, struggle with our identity", she adds. 'Bilbo gets there pretty quickly but I don't know you,' Bilbo's wife responds.
